Do you know what air pressure really is?
We will learn about high and low air pressure and how it can effect different objects. This is demonstrated by our ‘egg in a bottle’ experiment.
The second half of the lesson will focus on vortexes and what they are.
We will (with the help of the children) demonstrate how an air cannon creates an air vortex and we can use a smoke machine in conjunction with the air cannon to show exactly what the air vortex works.
Finally children will have the opportunity to make and try out their own air cannon.
Age: Age 5 to 13 years (Infants, Junior and Secondary Schools).
