Why is a house made of bricks? What’s the best material for a boat? These questions and more will be answered in our fun, and hands on material workshops.

During the workshop children will:

  • Learn about different materials
  • Perform our ‘Sink or Float’ experiment and predict which item will reach the bottom and which will stay at the top and why?
  • They will also learn about Recycle, Reuse, Reduce and take part in a fun hands-on activity separating everyday items we might Recycle, Reuse or Reduce and why?

This is a great fun and hands-on workshop to engage children to think about the properties of different materials and encourage reusing and recycling different items at home

Suitable for Pre-School, KS1 and KS2.
Age: 4 to 11 years (Infant & Junior Schools)
