Meet our Animal Expert and Nutty Professor Noah- Covering London, South & South East England

About Noah:

Meet Noah, one of our enthusiastic Animal Experts, who embodies the spirit of a true Nutty Professor. His infectious excitement for the captivating world of animals and the wonders of science shines through in everything he does. Although he is relatively new to his formal science education, boasting just a few months of experience, Noah's passion for sharing knowledge about the natural world and the joys of scientific exploration is evident in his engaging approach.

From a tender age, Noah has nurtured an unyielding love for nature, often embarking on adventurous excursions into diverse landscapes and travelling to far-flung corners of the globe. These journeys have been nothing short of transformative, allowing him to experience and see the world that his creatures in his little zoo live in. Each destination unveils its own unique flora and fauna, sparking Noah’s curiosity and deepening his understanding of his animals.

He is particularly keen on inspiring others to recognise the beauty and complexity of our planet through the lens of science, believing that everyone can play a role in preserving it. With an enthusiasm that is simply contagious, Noah looks forward to sharing his journey and insights with others, hoping to ignite their passion for the natural world as well.

What area does Noah cover?

Noah can be found throughout the enchanting landscapes of Southern England, passionately sharing his love for animals and science. From the vibrant streets of London, where city life pulsates with energy, to the picturesque charm of Oxford’s cobblestone paths, his spirit knows no bounds. He journeys all the way to the tranquil shores of Southampton, relishing the sound of the waves lapping at the beach. Across the South and Southeast of England, there are few places he won't venture to spread joy and knowledge, making connections with anyone and everyone he encounters along the way. His mission to educate and inspire through the wonders of the natural world truly knows no geographical limits.

Noah’s favourite part of working of Wild Science:

His favourite part of working for Wild Science is witnessing the sheer look of amazement on children's faces as they experience the joy of discovery. It fills him with unparalleled satisfaction. In his own words, “The crème de la crème, however, is definitely the exhilarating ‘teacher high’ that comes from observing children who are initially terrified of animals like tarantulas or pythons. When they see their friends interacting fearlessly and learn about how harmless these creatures can be, it instils a newfound confidence in them.”

It brings him immense joy to see both children and adults overcome their fears while deepening their understanding of these fascinating creatures. Watching them transition from hesitation to enthusiasm as they gather the courage to hold the animals and eagerly ask questions is truly gratifying. He relishes the moments when people shift their perceptions of various animals, realising that they are not as frightening or dangerous as they might seem, but rather gentle beings that are often misunderstood.

Noah’s experience with Wild Science:

Although Noah has recently joined our team, he has quickly settled into his role with an admirable level of professionalism and enthusiasm. Each day, he finds immense satisfaction in his work, driven not just by his responsibilities, but also by the enriching connections he has formed with his colleagues. Their support and camaraderie create a welcoming atmosphere at Wild Science, making it easier for him to feel right at home.

Noah often experiences a delightful sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of childhood days filled with wonder and fascination. He enthusiastically engages with the children while geeking out over the incredible world of science and animals. Whether he's showcasing a captivating creature or demonstrating an exhilarating science experiment, he approaches each moment with genuine excitement, as if he’s witnessing everything for the very first time.

Every day brings a unique set of adventures, filled with exhilarating experiences that spark his curiosity and joy. Whether he’s meeting new visitors, exploring breathtaking locations, or encountering a variety of fascinating species, Noah finds himself constantly inspired. This relentless variety ensures that no two days are ever alike, keeping him energised and eager for the new experiences awaiting him.

What sessions Noah does:

There isn’t a subject that Noah won’t enthusiastically teach, whether it’s the fascinating world of animals or the wonders of science. He immerses children in the vibrant realm of wildlife, sharing captivating insights about their habitats, life cycles, and a plethora of intriguing facts that spark curiosity. But Noah doesn’t confine his talents to classrooms alone; you’ll often find him engaging at lively parties, grand events, and even providing comforting animal therapy in care homes for residents.

His passion for education extends beyond animal workshops; he also showcases an exciting array of science demonstrations that captivate audiences of all ages. From the sheer joy of crafting gigantic bubbles to orchestrating thrilling explosions in his Fizz Bang Pop workshops, Noah’s science sessions are perfect for a variety of occasions—schools, celebrations, care facilities, and more. Each workshop is designed not just to entertain, but to inspire a love for learning in everyone who participates.

What is his favourite animal/animals?

In Noah's own words, "You can't ask that! But if I have to choose..." Tarantulas hold a special place in his heart. These intriguing creatures are not only fascinating to observe due to their diverse traits and unique body structures, but they also showcase an array of captivating behaviours that leave them in awe. However, he finds it hard to resist the charm of a cute, cuddly animal like guinea pigs, with their soft fur and gentle personalities.

Then there's Sammy, his leopard gecko, who is incredibly cute and boasts a delightful personality that brings joy to Noah's daily life. Alongside Sammy is his royal python, whose stunning patterns and calm demeanour make it a cherished companion. Each of these animals is a favourite in its own right, and Noah struggles to choose just one as the best.

When it comes to animals in the wild, however, an octopus captivates Noah the most. Their quirky and amusing personalities, combined with their alien-like appearance, make them truly fascinating. But what truly mesmerises him is their intelligence; octopuses are renowned for their remarkable problem-solving abilities. Their skilful camouflage, which allows them to change not only their colours but also their skin texture, showcases their adaptability and ingenuity. In Noah’s view, this is by far one of the coolest aspects of these extraordinary sea creatures.

What started his love for animals?

Since he was five years old, Noah has harboured a deep passion for becoming an entomologist, a specialised field within zoology dedicated to the study of insects. Though he can't pinpoint the exact moment his fascination began, he believes it stems from an overarching love for all animals.

Noah finds the complexity and beauty of insects to be nothing short of incredible; their intricate life cycles, diverse behaviours, and unique adaptations captivate him. Each encounter with these tiny creatures reveals a new layer of their world, making them endlessly intriguing. To him, there is absolutely nothing to dislike about animals; their charm and cuteness often leave him in awe. Noah enjoys the thrill of learning something new about them every day, which only deepens his admiration and passion for the animal kingdom. Exploring the lives of insects and understanding their roles in the ecosystem adds a rich dimension to his lifelong dream, fuelling his desire to pursue this fascinating field of study.
