Hello! I’m the Leopard Gecko, a ground-dweller found in arid regions. My spotted appearance? It’s like wearing a fashionable coat. I’m a night owl, hunting insects under moonlight. My vocalisations include chirps and squeaks, which I use to communicate. And guess what? If things get hairy, I can lose my tail—it’s my escape plan! My tail also acts as a fat store, helping me survive during food shortages. Furthermore, I’m easy to care for, making me a popular pet.
I thrive in the sweltering heat of sunny Southern Asia, where vast deserts stretch endlessly and the golden sands provide me with the perfect camouflage. A vigorous shake or a subtle wag can signal that I feel threatened, display aggression, or even attract a potential mate.
