More about Sensory Slime SEN Workshop
Wild Science offer unique Sensory Slime Workshop
Sensory Slime SEN Workshop
Wild Science is excited to offer our unique Sensory Slime Workshop, specifically designed for children and adults with SEN. This hands-on, interactive experience engages students’ senses and encourages exploration and creativity.
Our Nutty professors will guide participants through the process of making their slime using a variety of different textures and ingredients. Throughout the workshop, students will learn about the science behind slime, including the properties of polymers. And how these polymers interact with other substances.
One of the workshop highlights is the opportunity to create different types of slime with varying textures for the ultimate sensory experience. Participants will experiment with different ingredients, such as paint, to colour the slime and glitter to create unique slime creations. They will also explore the different textures that can be added to slime, such as polystyrene balls to make play foam.
Wild Science believes every child deserves the opportunity to explore and discover the wonders of science. Our Sensory Slime Workshop is designed to be inclusive and engaging for SEN pupils of all ages and abilities. Furthermore, these workshops provide a fun and interactive learning experience that promotes creativity, exploration, and sensory stimulation.
Join us for a hands-on, unforgettable experience with sensory slime!
Can parents participate in the Sensory Slime Workshop?
Parents are welcome to join our Sensory Slime Workshop. It’s a chance to bond, learn, and celebrate the magic of bubbles alongside their children.
How can slime play benefit children with sensory needs?
Slime play engages multiple senses—sight (colours), touch (texture), and even smell (soapy scent). Furthermore, it provides a soothing sensory experience, promoting relaxation and focus.
Are there any safety precautions during slime play?
Yes! We use non-toxic slime ingredients and supervise closely. With hypoallergenic options, children with allergies or sensitivities can still enjoy bubble play.
Once the kids create their slime, they can take it home and enjoy it more!
