Nathan holds a degree in Illustration. This qualification perfectly complements his lifelong passion for depicting animals, wildlife, and the intricacies of the natural world. His fascination with animals began in childhood. Over the years, it has blossomed into a remarkable collection that he cherishes deeply.
Nathan is particularly enthusiastic about reptiles, invertebrates, and mammals, showcasing a diverse range of creatures that bring joy to both him and those who visit. Among his beloved animals are Tuck, a charming tortoise known for his slow and steady demeanour; Flambo, an energetic bearded dragon who loves basking in the sun; and Porridge, an adorable Pygmy hedgehog that adds a unique flair to Nathan’s collection. What is his favourite animal/animals:
In addition to his own beloved animals, he has a few favourites that truly capture his fascination. One of these is the cuttlefish, a remarkable creature known for its extraordinary ability to camouflage and adapt to varying environments. Watching them change colours and textures is nothing short of mesmerising. It showcases their intelligence and unique survival skills.
Another favourite of his is the shoebill, a bird that exudes an air of prehistoric charm. With its large, distinct beak and striking appearance, the shoebill stands out as one of nature's most unique animals. He finds their peculiar look and behaviour captivating. They seem to transport you back in time.
Of course, while these animals pique his interest, his heart ultimately belongs to his own pets, who bring him endless joy and companionship. Their personalities and quirks make them irreplaceable in his life. Ultimately, being a Wild Science Animal Expert has given Nathan meaningful opportunities to encounter and care for so many species.
What started his love for animals?
